Meet the Executive Director

About Executive Director

Erica L. Reynolds, MA, PhDc

Erica L. Reynolds is the Executive Director of the Miss Missouri City Organization, leading the Miss Missouri City and Miss Missouri City’s Teen Pageants, official local preliminaries to the Miss America competition. Her work is rooted in leadership development, communication, and helping young people represent themselves and their community with confidence and integrity. Erica is also the founder of Elevate Fort Bend, which supports the Miss Missouri City program and broader youth development efforts.

Erica cares deeply about the community and its youth, because she has spent her entire career seeing what happens when potential goes unsupported, and what’s possible when it’s developed early. Too many young people are smart, capable, and driven, yet unsure how to speak up, navigate pressure, tap into their natural gifts and abilities, or see a clear path forward from their current state. Erica’s work is about closing that gap and making sure our young people have an advantage that will propel them forward, successfully and sustainably.

Background

Erica's background includes over 17 years of experience across healthcare, biotech, retail, nonprofit, political, and finance sectors serving in senior leadership roles. This includes serving as System Vice President of Learning and Talent Development for a national comprehensive cancer center and Global Head of Organizational Development and Communications for a medical device company. She is a graduate and undergraduate professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources and currently, as an Executive Coach, Consultant, and Advisor guides leaders, high performers, and emerging talent through growth, transition, and high-stakes moments. All work that directly informs how she leads in her youth and young adult programs today.

The Goal

Erica also uses her background in theater and acting to shape how she teaches confidence, storytelling, and composure in high-visibility situations. Through her organizations, she prepares people to show up clearly, professionally, and with purpose, on stage, in interviews, and in life.

Erica believes the Miss America Opportunity is a platform for growth, leadership, personal empowerment, and excellence. Her goal is for every contestant to leave the program stronger, more confident, and better prepared for what comes next, on stage and beyond.
